Martijn, I didn't mean to infer that you "wouldn't accept the RFE". Sorry about the confusion.
I did create an RFE (WICKET-975) and attached the patch. I hope I followed the guidelines. It was fairly easy to adjust as I followed the Image behaviors for the resource reference. BTW...I didn't see the SubmitLink. I am learning the API and learning new things everyday. I need to say I am very impressed with the coverage and behaviors of Wicket.
