Hi, we have had the same issue. We are solving this Problem with a little workaround in the Wicket-Source.
We also created a ticket with our solution for this problem. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WICKET-1771 The problem was, that the close would be excecuted in Javascript with a timeout and the create doent do the timeout.
