well the factory is a great idea and can make the code simpler. However, my problem is to assign a checkbox or a textfield to a <input wicket:id="input" id="stringProperty" type="text" size="40" /> . So this does'nt solve the problem. I couldn't manage to use AttributeModifier in order to assign a CheckBox to the input. As for fragments i think this could work but it's pretty much the same as having multiple components and set the visibility of the one with the good type. I find that this solution isn't really clear and that fragments aren't meant to be use for that kind of things.
