I read it as there is no way to make it out of the box. I understand concerns
you mention in the thread but I'm afraid the demand of users and need to
integrate applications into unified user interfaces forces to have a more
seamless integration than iframes.

I can see there are multiple things you would have to solve:
1) Have a bootstrap JS that would find all relevant elements in DOM and do
some AJAX requests to retrieve content to render in them
2) Dynamically add header items to the page your component is embed into
3) Somehow render stuff as a component not as page

This would be super useful as built in feature. If there is no show-stopper
or nothing ready to use then it needs to be explored.
