Elsa, depending on your use case, would using tags be an option?

I have a bit difficulty explaining the difference between tags and
spaces in less than two sentences. Most importantly: a page can have
multiple tags but can only belong to one space. Belonging to a space
defines the URL and the rights a page has.

As Marius said, hierarchy through the parent-setting could be an
excellent solution as well.
