Oh well...exciting installation process. After completing the UI installation step,it was moving on to whatever is next, and after about 30 minutes of spinning I get a major error page:
Step 5 - Report Failed to execute the [velocity] macro. Cause: [Java heap space]. Click on this message for details. java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space I know the instructions mention being sure you have given Jave enough memory. But I have no idea how to interpret "enough" so I just tried it with the default settings. This is a vm (hypverv). Can I adjust memory in the middle of the installation? This is from the tomcat status page: JVM Free memory: 0.65 MB Total memory: 247.50 MB Max memory: 247.50 MB Memory Pool Type Initial Total Maximum Used Eden Space Heap memory 34.12 MB 68.31 MB 68.31 MB 68.31 MB (100%) Survivor Space Heap memory 4.25 MB 8.50 MB 8.50 MB 7.84 MB (92%) Tenured Gen Heap memory 85.37 MB 170.68 MB 170.68 MB 170.68 MB (100%) Code Cache Non-heap memory 2.43 MB 91.62 MB 240.00 MB 90.78 MB (37%) Compressed Class Space Non-heap memory 0.00 MB 14.37 MB 1024.00 MB 13.81 MB (1%) Metaspace Non-heap memory 0.00 MB 122.81 MB -0.00 MB 119.80 MB The 100% items don't look good. Should I double 'memory'; and can I do that via the tomcat ui midstream of this install? Or do I need to restart the install? -- View this message in context: http://xwiki.475771.n2.nabble.com/Need-help-configuring-xwiki-for-sql-server-possible-documentation-error-tp7602211p7602222.html Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
