QA Software Engineer Client is looking for a Software Engineer to enhance our current and future products. The Software Engineer will work with business stakeholders, product managers and development team to design and develop the current and future software applications. This individual will have the responsibility for adopting new testing technologies, creating test frameworks to ensure product and software quality. Responsibilities: • Implement and maintain test platforms and frameworks • Collaborate with development team to isolate and resolve bugs and issues • Collaborate with development team to create QA automation hooks for whitebox and automation testing • Work with product, development and production support team to gather information from the application for better and quicker troubleshooting and resolution of issues • Create test strategy to identify and regress design flaws and single point of failures • Ensure product requirement is clear, correct and complete • Provide visibility to the overall team • Ensure delivered product meets business expectations • Automation of tests for web applications using Selenium or other open source products • Automation of tests for server side components with Java and other open source tools • Collaborate with on-site and remote teams to meet business objectives • Perform code audit, identify and report bad coding practices Qualifications: • 3-5 years experience in software application development and testing • Prior experience with java programming • Ability to quickly grasp the design and architecture of complex application systems • Ability or willingness to understand and work with large volume of unstructured data • Experience testing REST based web services a plus • Experience writing test plans and test suites • Ability to create test strategies to test for reliability, performance and scalability. • Familiarity with one scripting language • Working knowledge of Linux, Apache and Tomcat. • Good understanding of relational databases and ability to demonstrate proficiency of SQL. (MySQL preferred) • Ability to work efficiently in a Linux/Unix based environments • Self-motivated, ability to work as part of a small team in an Agile development environment with minimal supervision • Good communication skills • Good analytical and problem solving skills Preferred Skills: • Experience with internationalization, UTF-8, time zones and currencies • Familiarity with search engine and crawler technologies Thanks, Sonali ZealTech Inc.
