The Insurance experience is not as important as the database and SQL
understanding, manual testing and excellent communication skills****
Our Client has an Immediate need for a *Sr QA Testing Analyst* who will be
required to develop and implement procedures for maintaining and or
enhancing the integrity of applications and ensuring that requirements are
clearly defined and testable. You will be responsible for the creation and
execution of detailed test plans and cases to verify new and existing
(regression) software functionality. You will be expected to analyze and
understand business and functional requirements and ensure that those
requirements are testable as well as track and report defects, report
progress and assist with risk assessments. ****
*Responsibilities:
*• Analyze and understand functional requirements and be able to translate
those requirements into written test plans and detailed test cases, both
front end (UI based) and back- end/database (SQL Server).
• Maintain requirements traceability matrix
• Execute test cases, track and report defects and reporting results to the
project team.
• Ability to perform considerable amount of back-end/database (SQL)
testing; requires writing SQL scripts and understanding data models.
• Works closely with the QA Lead to review project requirements and design
specifications to identify gaps and ensure documented project criteria are
clear, consistent, and testable.
• Creates and identifies test data required to execute test cases and
interacts with project team members to ensure the data is available for
testing.
• Utilize test tools and complete quality assurance documentation as
required. ****
*Requirements:
*• A working knowledge of a structured test methodology is required
• Several years experience (on multiple projects) as a QA tester
• Multiple years experience with software QA – having designed, implemented
and tuned testing processes and templates on multiple projects.
• Experience with all phases and types of testing including Functional,
System, Integration, Regression and User Acceptance Testing
• Strong SQL skills
• Clear communication skills – including the ability to communicate large
amounts of information in a clear format. Also must be able to listen
effectively, incorporate various viewpoints and opinions into a solution,
then gain consensus among project stakeholders
• BS degree in Computer Science or related program is desired.****
