Seeking a Cognos Administrator for a contract position in the Dallas area.
The candidate will define and architect the best practices of a Cognos BI
Infrastructure. The candidate will also coordinate operational designs,
develops support plans and provides support for applications.
- Installation, configuration and administration of Cognos 10 in
Linux/Unix, multi-tier, virtual server and Windows environment.
- Support Cognos production environment for large scale user base
- Develop and maintain metadata layer in Cognos Framework Manager.
- Migrate and deploy application code in multiple environments.
- Cognos capacity planning and performance management.
- Monitor Cognos environment for usage and performance metrics.
- Available on call support for Production issues
- Provide leadership and vision for best usage and practices with
regards to Cognos tool set.
- Setting standards and guidelines for BI development.
- Mentor other team members for knowledge transfer
- Linux/Unix
Experience with DataStage would be a plus
