Duration: 6 Months

The individual will work with a team of developers in the Portfolio
Accounting area within Asset Management technology in Data Warehouse related
projects. The team is a global team with staff in New York and in
Offshore. The individual must be able to work on both development and
production support. Night support maybe required.

*Principal Responsibilities:*
* Primarily responsible for the development and maintenance and support
of PMDB (Portfolio Management Databases) applications
* Develop enhancements and new functionality for our existing
applications
* Communicate effectively with business users and translate business
requirements into technical implementation.
* Handle the day to day maintenance and production support providing a
fast response
*Requirements***
*Experience/Skills:***
* *7+ years* of hands-on strong experience in Sybase
* Strong *Unix/Linux* scripting skills
* *DB2/UDB* experience a plus
* Strong skills in *Java* and *Web Based Technologies* i.e. *JSP*, *Struts,
J2EE, JMS, SOA, XML*, etc.
* Experience with *Perl a plus*
* Prior working experience with autosys preferred
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Ability to take initiative, work independently, and prioritize tasks
based on business needs
* Ability to learn the business and workflow and recommend changes to
business & technical partners
* 3+ years of Financial Services industry experience. Asset Management
and Portfolio Accounting experience preferred
* Must be a team player
