Send resumes to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Position: Performance Test Engineer Location: Louisville, KY Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $44/hr BEST RATE Role Description: The Performance Test Engineer will have 3-5 years planning and executing performance testing in a distributed (WAS/J2EE/SQL SERVER) & mainframe (COBOL/CICS/DB2) environment. Experience with the WebLoad performance test tool is necessary. The Performance Test Engineer will be proficient in working with the project team to identify non-functional requirements, identifying performance test scenarios, creating performance test scripts, executing and analyzing performance tests, as well as, trouble shooting and reporting results to technical team. The performance test engineer must have the ability to execute performance tuning exercises and work with the technical team to recommend and test the changes to system configurations. The performance test resource's main responsibility is to run performance test load scripts using the RadView WebLoad tool. Required Skills: The Performance Test Engineer will possess the skills necessary to effectively execute all aspects of the performance test. Responsibilities include the following: a.. Define the Performance Test Plan and schedule to include setup performance test environment including testing tools, define or create test data, and identify additional tool requirements b.. Coordinate with business, operations, and technical groups to document activity patterns based on input from business, operations and IT groups to define workload analysis models to simulate production usage of the system c.. Work with the solution architect, integration and configuration teams to validate performance models and findings d.. Create and execute performance test scripts to evaluate response time, timing profiles, execution flow, operational reliability, and limits of the application e.. Define application monitoring strategy and develop monitoring capability f.. Work with Architect, System Administrator, and DBA to monitor and evaluate performance, and tune software/hardware configurations, including initializing and optimizing J2EE/WAS/Database(s) as required g.. Competent in all phases of Performance testing, including benchmark testing, load testing, stress testing, volume testing, scalability testing, stability testing h.. Analyze and document performance test results, and make recommendations for remediation and optimization Required Competencies: a.. Experience in , identifying performance test scenarios, creating performance test scripts, executing and analyzing performance tests b..
