I'm inclined to feel the same way. Where I subscribe to emailed newsletters
that have HTML as an option, that's what I choose.
However, I'm not sure that everyone on this list is on a Windows or
Macintosh platform. I agree that there's no real reason they shouldn't
upgrade. Those on a UNIX platform may possibly have a problem doing so
(although I don't know that for sure).
We get the complaint that HTML increases the download time. However, I
believe that to be an extremely trivial consideration. The non-trivial
complaint with which I agree is the one about very large file attachments.
