Funny you should say that.  Have you been reading my postings on the USMA
list server as of the past few days?  I was presenting my views that most
Americans in general feel that way.  Even though I have not used the term
"right-winged" as you did, I did mention just today that Americans view is
that the "..."International Metric System" and "globalism" is still a
Communist plot.".

If you have not yet read my comments, please do.  I thought you were signed
up to the USMA listserver.  If not, I will forward my comments to you and
you tell me if you feel my observations have hit the nail on the head.

What even seemed most interesting was both your comments and Paul Trusten's
quote of The 2001 Almanac for Farmers and City Folk. pp.115-116(USMA:9326)
article against metric came shortly after I made my comments and appear to
verify everything I say.
