They most certainly do. I have never seen a card catalog (or the electronic
version thereof) in the last ten years that did *not* list book sizes in cm.
The electronic catalog at the public library here in Fairbanks also lists
book sizes in cm.
Regarding Amazon.com, I wrote them about the book dimension listing issue
last year. I got a thankful reply, but nothing changed. This "We're an
American company" tripe puzzles me. They sell all over the world. It would
seem that they would want to bend over backwards to accomodate their
customers. If I were Jeff Bezos (spelling?) and running a company that had
yet to show a profit, pleasing my customers would be high on my list of
priorities.
