If you notice, the corporation name at the bottom of the web page is
Panasonic Corporation of America. This is an American division of a
Japanese company. Most likely run by Americans. If you get an American
marketing manager, who has to promote a Japanese product, such as a 1 m
cable, he is going to market it as 3.3 ft, because that is what he knows.
He might see the factory specs and think to himself: "If I don't know what 1
m is, no other American will either." This is how this stuff happens, from
the top down. Since this people of limited mental ability are in control,
they will do what they want. These people are so afraid to include the
original metric because they are afraid it might be referred to as such, and
they will feel dumb when people refer to 1 m and they don't know or want to
know what it means. So, they force you down to their level.
The only way to try to stop this is to go over their heads, which shouldn't
be too hard, and go to the parent corporation and tell them you are insulted
by their company not providing you with the original metric information.
That may ring a bell and get some action. But, responding to the guy who
decided to promote FFU is only going to get you the typical: "We are selling
to the majority of Americans who want only to see and hear and feel FFU. If
you don't like OUR use of FFU, then move to a metric country".
Glückliches Neues Jahr!
Happy New Year!

I propose that all US citizens on the list make their feelings known to
Panasonic. That may make them see the light,
