I just purchased a chair from Office Max. It is clearly labeled: Made in
China. The company is OCM International in City of Industry, CA
I assume OCM is a US company since the assembly bolts are 1/4".

The "imperialism" makes its way into China despite the communist rule.

Can you immagine the trouble these manufacturers had, in order to make the
Chinese use their bolts and nuts? Some people are really determined to force
the ffu into the world at any cost. I am sure it would have been cheaper to
let them use their own bolts.

Other chairs I purchased in the past had all metric bolts. (I think they
were made in Taiwan)

I am planning to return the chair although it's a troublesome deal. Next
time I buy IKEA.

A.
