I just came back from Canada.
In the Costco in Gaithersburg, Maryland there are bags of Pedigree dog food
labeled 20 kg / 44.1 lb.
In the Costco in Moncton, New Brunswick the bags of Pedigree dog food were
18.1 kg (which comes out to 40.0 lb).
There were some other cases too where what is sold in the USA was hard metric
but what was sold in Canada was not, though it was labeled only in kg.
Odd ...
also annoying of course were signs: A LOUER, 6 000 pieds carres ...
But some good news: everyone I talked with expressed distances in km.
Probably because their cars do.
