Hi Alfred, I've been trying to wake them up, but they keep hitting the snooze button! The Canadian public only sees American weather, American commercials, American advertisements, American government, American web sites, American highway signs, American sports, etc., all apparently using 99.999% "imperial" units. If the US was to commit to converting just one public aspect of American society (i.e. weather, highways, grocery stores, or house construction) to metric that might make not only Canada, but the rest of the world sit up and notice. greg >>> "Hu, Alfred" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 2001-03-28 15:20:39 >>> I think people need to wake up to reality. The perception below cannot be further from the truth. alfred -----Original Message----- There is a perception in Canada that the United States is this steadfast island of "imperial" measure; not a millilitre, millimetre, nor milligram exist south of the 49th Parallel.
