Bob, is your number (17 km/L or 5.9 L/100 km) the over all average of
highway *and* city driving to date for your Metro?
Highway driving for the Insight is more like 3.5 L/100 km
(29 km/L) at high speeds, or 3.0 L/100 km (33 km/L) at the very best
optimum (reduced) speed for maximum economy.

The 4.2 is the actual number from my odometer for a mix of
highway (fast) and city (slow) driving over ten months to date.
