All you technophiles probably heard of the new Boeing "Sonic Cruiser" 0.95 Mach commercial airliner, announced in the WSJ and NYTimes today. It's intended to compete with the Airbus superjumbo, by emphasizing a 20% increase in speed rather than just more passengers. Out of curiosity I checked the Boeing website, and they do list the specs in ifp (SI) rather than ifp alone: http://www.boeing.com/news/feature/concept/factsheet.html For aerospace I guess that counts as two steps forward!
