Today's Independent carries an ad for Irish Tourism, urging to people to visit depsite the current Foot-and-Mouth epidemic. The ad gives distances of rivers to travel and fish in thousands of kilometres. I visited the Web site given, and found the following: http://www.irelandtravel.co.uk/there/internaltransport.asp which includes a photo of an Irish road sign (old style), and mentions the 'bilingualism' of signs.
