Johnson pressed Ehlers about the needed amendment to
the FPLA and about other pro-metric measures when
Johnson interviewed Ehlers on Johnson's radio show.
Ehlers made it clear that he considers the next step
to be for pro-metric people to help him on his current
bill, but that he would welcome suggestions. He made
it clear that he is for metric and will support any
pro-metric legislation if it at least appears to ahve
a chance. He responded to Andy that he thought some of
the pro-metric folks ought to recruit their own
members of Congress to get involved in the cause.
