        Actually, the USMA mail list went out on the "blind copy to" (bcc)
line. I've just verified that from the messages source of the copy in my
sent-file. The NIST MPO is listed, as well it should be.

        Yes, you would be a good one to "second the motion", with your academic
credentials. Tell them I referred the matter to you (true!) but omit the
part about my using the USMA mail list to do so (unnecessary,
distracting detail). As a EE on a university faculty, it would be quite
reasonable for you to have "standing" on the matter. If she gets a
flurry of mail, however, or a hint that this went through a discussion
forum, it will be dismissed out of hand.

        I think that federal web pages are a good target to focus on, as you
know from my many past postings. Hey, we own those!

        Thanks, Gene! I appreciate those kind words! In fact, I truly was
growing angry as I worked on my research. It took some effort to remain
polite and at least semi-professional in my tone.
