At a minimum let me suggest a name: "Americans for Sensible Weights and Measures" (ASWM). It has a nice "co-opting" of old-time values tone, which our opponents are likely to exploit. Unfortunately I can't think of anything better to add. I'm frustrated by the DOT situation, and recognize that we're outnumbered - there's no cavalry coming over the hill I can see. The only bright spot is Joe Reid's recent comment in USMA 15017, and the opportunity to present highway reversion before the EU as evidence more pressure needs to be applied. We need to establish a pro-metric political action committee (PAC) that has the freedom to lobby politicians. SI-PAC would ideally have members and funding from US-based multinational corporations (Procter & Gamble?) and foreign corporations who trade with the US. Jason Sign me up, now. Carleton
