Lo riporta il settimanale francese "La Tribune". "L'euro � in marcia-ha dichiarato Hain� nessuno pu� pensare di restarne fuori per sempre". On January 1, 2002, the euro will begin to be circulated in each member country. On March 1, the traditional currencies in those countries will cease to be legal tender. The president of the ECB, Wim Duisenberg, will hand each Central Bank director of the 12 participating nations the seven different denominations of the Euro banknotes and the eight different coins. Domingo Solans, member of the ECB's executive committee, will present a guide which explains in detail the counterfeit measures the bank has taken to produce the new currency, such as type of ink and paper, the copper-plates, and the metal security stripes. > > BRITISH EUROPEAN AFFAIRS MINISTER FORESEES INEVITABILITY OF ENGLAND'S USE OF EURO > Peter Hain, England's European Affairs minister, stated in the French weekly "The Tribune" that his country should not lag behind in deciding to join the single currency of the 12 Euro-zone nations. "Now that the Euro is a fact," said the minister, "we cannot postpone using it forever."
