Bob: The next time you buy stamps at the Post Office, get them from the machine. If your change is a dollar or more, it will include dollar coins -- typically a mix of Susan B. Anthony and Sacagawea ones.

In the two years that it has been in circulation I have yet to get one. When I get dollars back in my change it is always in the form of paper one dollar bills. The next time I cash a check at the bank I will ask for gold dollar coins. I wonder if they have any. I live in a Chicago suburb, and I would think that they would be available in a major metro area. If I do get some I will spend them as I would any other money. I want to see others' reaction to them. I will keep you posted on what happens. ----- Original Message ----- From: kilopascal To: U.S. Metric Association Sent: Sunday, 30 December, 2001 12:04 PM Subject: [USMA:16942] Golden dollar 2001-12-30 Go to http://www.usmint.gov and do a search on either Golden Dollar or Sacagawea, and you will find very limited info. But, as an example, you will see a listing of some businesses that are circulating the coins. I can't say if all of the businesses that are listed are still doing so. But, the lack of info on the US mint site shows that even they are not really gun-ho about their own product. John What's New What's New?
