Jim,

The change went according to time zones. Portugal and Ireland changed over
one hour later than we did when their New Year started. Finland and Greece
preceeded us by an hour.

Thousands of people got euros as soon as possible from cash machines after
midnight. These had been loaded in the afternoon and evening. Things went
largely without a hitch. I will go to a machine later in the day.

Han

Han,

Is it 2400 UTC that the shift takes place to the euro all across euroland,
or does each country shift according to its time zone?

Jim
