On contrary, I believe it is the other way around!

Since ancient times man used the dozen as a basis for many enumerations. Since gods as
well as the signs of the zodiac are man-made and not an universal constant of some
kind they come in "packs" of 12.
It took man a lot of time to develop mathematics well beyond counting eggs and fruits
in the market to realize that the 12 base system is limited and that the 10-base is
better.
By the way, this is also why the day is based on 12 hour cicles. The first solar
clocks were developed in ancient Egypt if I remember well.

I really don't know the origines of the 12-base system but this appears to me as the
logical explanation to your observation.

Finally, if we want to look at cosmic signs look at your fingers. They are CERTAINLY
NOT man-made and they come in packs of 10.(Unless the BWMA-UKIP people have 12).:)

I just hope no imperialists have caught on to this!! Apparently, the number
12 represents the order of the universe!!

There were 12 gods represented by the signs of the zodiac!! Each one had
it's own number or set of numbers which together provided the basic formula
of the universe!!

Apparently, upon this formula or pattern, great lasting civilisations were
founded. This is why we have 12 zodiac signs and months of the year!!

That's all we need; imperialists claiming that the foot and the inch is
based on the very number that represents the order of the universe!!

Perhaps we could counter that the system we count with is based on 10 and
units of 10!!

It's not fair!! Why can't there be any universal order represented by the
number 10??

Imperialists have it all ways, don't they??

Steve.
