A few years ago some merchants on the Amsterdam street market had a splendid
idea: start selling their goods by the pound avoirdupois! Should they have
been allowed, in the name of democracy and freedom, to go on doing that?
No way! There is nothing wrong in penalizing merchants who use illegal units
*in trade*. The police came up and ordered them to stop doing that as it was
illegal. They would have been prosecuted if they had persevered.
They were cheats and downsizers as well as they sold pounds avoirdupois for
the price of a pound of 500 g.

On the other hand, private persons should be left free to use whatever units
they want. The environment in which they live determines what the large
majority of them will use. Even those Maporama morons and idiots should be
left alone, as they do not use ifp trash *in trade*, just as defaults on
their 'international' travel website. It is left to the user to boycott
them or to try convincing them to overcome their stupidity,
