As far as I can see, options are similar for height
indications in the cab:

"indication of vehicle height expressed in feet and
inches, or in both feet and inches and in metres"

However, UK vehicles can travel to metric only zones
within the EU. Therefore the motivation to avoid
bridge strikes would imply mandatory metric height
indication on UK vehicles. Is there a regulation about
this that I have missed? I can't believe that the DTLR
would have not considered it.
