There appears to be an error in the draft Traffic Sign regulation. It uses metric measures throughout except for the following definition of 'abnormal transport unit': "(a) a motor vehicle or a vehicle combination- (i) the overall length of which, inclusive of the load (if any) on the vehicle or the combination, exceeds 61 feet 6 inches; or (ii) the overall width of which, inclusive of the load (if any) on the vehicle or the combination, exceeds 9 feet 6 inches" Nitpicking and perhaps unimportant to the public, but since the regulation is a draft, it may be possible to get it changed. I pointed this out in a phone call (along with other comments about the draft e.g. the problems of the abbreviation 'm') but got the impression that my comments were not going to be heeded. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
