There has been an extended series of postings about the fuel-efficient two-
passsenger Volkswagen (USMA 19450, 19451, 19452, 19453, 19456, 19458,
19460, 19462). I saw such a car in a showroom in London, sometime in the
1950s, I believe. I think it was made by Messerschmidt. who were no longer
permitted to make fighter aircraft.. I got down on my knees to see what
made it go. The salesman said "Don't bother, Sir. I'll turn it over for
you". He then promptly laid it over on its side.

>Volkswagen has got a vehicle that gives
>0.89 l / 100 km. Convert it to US Customary
>unit and it is 264 miles / gallon.
