To Pat and all, I am getting to know my new computer and Windows XP slowly. At first I looked at the country settings. They were already localized to Nederland. I only had to change the date format from dd-mm-YYYY to YYYY-mm-dd I can no longer set any system or non-system of units explicitly in Windows XP. Then there is an Adobe Acrobat 5 reader already installed. It defaults to inches (of course). Edit, then Preferences down the Edit menu: points, inches, millimeters. Choose one. mm Word 2002: was already set to cm. I am going to find out whether I can change the name of the floppy drive A: from 3.5 inch to 90 mm. If I find other things I had to change to SI I will send them later.
