I just used one a few minutes ago. Finishing a proposal section on my
laptop, and when I got home didn't feel like turning laptop on again, and
plugging into network cable. Easier just to save to a floppy.

Would have preferred Zip drive/disk, but they aren't easy to come by for
laptops.
