Dear All,

Recently my wife was writing some instructions when she felt the need to describe an object 10�mm thick.

Using a Times New Roman typeface – at 11 computer points and using a non-breaking space between the number and the unit – she discovered that if she underlined the dimension, 10�mm, then the length of the underline is close enough to 10�mm for illustrative purposes.
