Since you are inviting opinions, this is what I would think if it were my decision: 1. I would use 'x'. 2. I would use mm or m, but not dm. 3. If space is an issue, I would drop the spaces. 4. If space is an issue, I would reduce instances of the 'mm' symbol to one or zero. Thus I would use: 100x200x300mm or 100x200x300 A search of the web found lots of instances of 'x'. Repetition of the unit symbol appeared to be the default but there were plenty of instances of only one symbol.
