2002-07-10 Who is Milton Friedman? Sounds like one of those "American Economists", who were predicting the Euro's downfall since its inception in 1999 and have been wrong each and every time. Just wishful thinking on their part.
Maybe in 5 years it will be the US that will disintegrate and the dollar with it, leaving the EU to be the sole supreme power on this earth. Think this is far fetched? Not if you are a religious fanatic and believe in the predictions of the Bible for the end times. If there is to be a confederacy in Europe that is to have supreme power in the last days, then the US must go. The real fun will be to see who is right.
