The word 'force' is such a debatable thing. If I bought a new car, my wife
would be 'forced' to ride in it. But I don't think she'd really mind.

This is how the metric system is viewed here. Ask anyone under the age of
40 if they think Australia did a bad thing in 'forcing' the metric system
(along with decimal coinage around the same time) and you'd learn some
colourful Aussie expressions you've never heard before!

It's just a question of time...
