2002-10-06 I have a couple comments on the first site I clicked on. From the site is the following excerpt:
BSI is looking for comments from the public on a new standard that aims to do away with the confusion and provide a common set of body measurements and clothing sizes for the whole of Europe (please note: the consultation period for the draft standard has now expired) . What is the purpose of comments from the public on this change? Isn't it obvious that the only criticism that will be uttered will be criticism of its metric base. Standards like this need not be commented on. They need be introduced, and let the consumer learn it and use it. Very plain! Very simple! You don't like it? Tough shit! One thing missing from the article is when the new standard will be put into use. Does anyone know when new clothes will carry the new labels? The sooner the better.
