John,

Obviously they would not come anyway. I have mentioned in the thesis the
websites of all the pro metric organizations I know. But for the sake of
fair play and balance, which is an academic demand as well, I have also
mentioned the websites of the opposition: BWMA, the UKIP, IAML, F2M, Inch
Perfect. I have compared metrication in the Netherlands with other
countries, and the English speaking nations were taken into account. I
discussed the Metric Martyrs, for instance, stressing that they were not
convicted for 'using pounds and ounces' but for not using metric at all and
for using unauthorised scales and weights. The fact that they are still
entitled to use oz/lb was also mentioned.
One day, when translation programs become good enough at last, when they no
longer produce gobbledygook but decent translations, I will make it
available to all of you.
But there is an English summary and I will send that soon in an e-mail with
a Word 2000 attachment. No fears, I have Norton Anti-Virus 2000 updated to
the latest virusdefinitions and it also scans outgoing mails and
attachments.

 Han,

Why don't you extend the invitation to attend the ceremony to the members
of the BWMA and to the metric martyrs?

 John
