Somewhere on that page someone claims that the 'metric' inch was invented by
the Soviets, and that is was 25.4 mm exactly. I have read that the ' metric'
inch was originally the Canadian one. The Soviet Union used 25 mm modules
for computer hardware where the US used the inch.
The claim that ISO standardized the 'metric' inch is right when it means the
unit of 1959 -25.4 mm- that was indeed also standardized by ISO, wrong if he
thinks that ISO standardized a 25 mm inch.
