My thoughts exactly as I was reading the article. Joe Six-pack does not
know that FFU is tied to the metric units. I doubt Joe Six-pack knows or
cares how his units are defined as long as he can ask for a 12 oz bottle or
can of beer and get it and it gives him a good buzz. Nothing more matters
to him.
500 ml of beer gives a better buzz than 12 oz (355 ml), another selling point.
