Unfortunately, members of Congress and Federal employees still hear strong
lobbies in opposition to SI only.  For example, from the Food Marketing
Institute (as reported here recently).

True.  Many voting members of the NCWM do not support preference for SI,
even though a majority voted in support of an amendment to the FPLA to
permit metric-only package labeling.

The same can be said about the official policy of the TABD.
