There has been an excess of 20-25 posts on this subject, folks.  I mean, perhaps we've 
been "overdiscussing" it...

In any case, based on what I've heard so far, Bill's position seems 'incontestable' 
(well done!), with initialism being well presented as well.  So... can we please move 
on and finally accept SI as being an abbreviation and initialism, for sure, and symbol 
as acceptable?  Thanks.
