The problem is if you have a dialup, it may not do it automatically when
the dialer's running.

This shows the value of the automatic Microsoft updates built into
Windows XP.

Even with Windows 98 and Windows Me, you get an advisory telling you to
go ahead and download and install the security (and other) updates. With
XP, they are, of course, already downloaded by the time you get the
advisory telling you to install them.
