I think the idea here is that "1776" is the year of independence for the
US and the height, in feet, is symbolic. I don't quite think we are
ready for a tower 1776 m high. I'm not quite sure what the Architect
wold have done if we were truly a metric country, his concept might not
have even ever occurred to him and that would also be a shame.

Hi all:
Good Morning America into newer hopes.
A day to remember for all of us, when I learnt of the attack on Twin
Trade
Towers, and the tension we had for several hours - especially knowing
my
children, were right there at the spot.
What ever is done, the mempry of that day's events one can't ignore
from
thoughts of the familes of those, who lost their 'dear one's'.
India's role might have been criticised, BUT fighting terrorism and
'not
Islam' has been this country's priority.
May I join 'billions of Americans and immigrants' on behalf of my
country
and family in wishing to convey our reciprocatory thoughts, in
rebuilding
GROUND ZERO to 1776 esteem (I shall not call feet BUT 541.3248 metre
high).
Whosoever choose this height in feet is NOT DOING justice to the cause
of
metrication in United States. The height could be changed to 540m or
545m,
in gaining ground for SI-implementation and metric learning.

      *****The New Calendar Rhyme*****
Thirty days in July, September:
April, June, November, December;
All the rest have thirty-one; accepting February alone:
Which hath but twenty-nine, to be (in) fine;
Till leap year gives the whole week READY:
Is it not time to MODIFY or change to make it perennial, Oh Daddy!

And make the calendar work with Leap Week Rule!
