Subject: [USMA:27019] Re: Mexico
Canadian Motor Vehicle safety regulations do not
mandate
that speedometers & odometers in cars for the
Canadian
market display anything other than km/h & km
(respectively).
That being said, the speedometers of most cars sold in
Canada
do have both both km/h and mph (with the km/h being the
larger
numbers).
Keep in mind that the majority of the population of
Canada
lives within 150 km of the border, so there is a pretty
high
possibility that a car owned in Canada will travel into
the
United States at some time. Having the mph on the
dial
can be helpful, when driving on US highways.

1. Stop using HTML mails
2. Cars in Canda do have km-only speedometers. I've looked in some car
interiors. Maybe old cars do have dual.

Subject: [USMA:27015] Mexico
Hello could anyone please tell me how much
metric Mexico uses? Do they use both imperial and metric? What
about the rest of Latin America? About the Chevy Malibu was that an
03 or an 04? In Canada all cars have K M's on the outer circle
of the spedo with Mph on the inner. It would be interesting to know
if the same car in Canada has no miles per hour. When goods are
shipped to Mexico from the States do they have both metric and
imperial on the goods? Thanks for everybody's help, I really
apreciate it very
much.
