It occurs to me that the BWMA and their ilk are treading on very thin ice. After all, 
who seriously thinks that most of sectors of the British economy holding out to use 
Imperial measures would continue to do so for very long if the United States embarked 
on an Australian-like program (not that we will) to conver to metric? Makes mince-meat 
of their notions behind retaining traditional units and the "freedom to measure" 
argument.
