Michael, sir:
.....has someone a good and reasonable approach on?
I have been projecting THIS view BUT without saying that 1-degree x100' x100" be *called New 'gon' and '1/100th as New centigon'.
Yes, DECIMALISATION of Time of the HOUR when merged with decimalised Arc-angle (of 360-degree) are watched closely - the New 'gon' is 1/360th of the Earth circumference; AND 1/100th of New "gon" or *New centigon* is the reflection of ONE Nautical Kilomere New (km'). This make the New 'gon' 1.11194886884 times of the *gon* projected during the French experience of 'change to metric units'. The Earth circumference shall then be 36000 km' (or New gon).
My suggestion to define Metre New (m') as: 1/10^5th of the degree (or New gon); and is the distance traversed by light, in vacuum, during the time interval 1/97059575.22th of the decimal second (sd) - at presently accepted value for light velocity; is for BIPM/CCU to give consideration.
My regards,

Is it not time to MODIFY or change to make it perennial, Oh Daddy!

Hello Gentlemen,

a few days or weeks ago, I was think how we can efficiently replace degrees
by gons.

my first thought is quite common 360 -> 400 gon, no minutes or seconds,
subdivisions only in conjuction with metric prefixes permitted. E.g. 10
centigon which should equal 10 kilometers.

this is actually about navigation but how about other fields like math or
even physics which really rely on degrees in areas like force on a inclined
horizon or AC calculations with complex numbers and many other fields.
those would actually change the number after the calculation.

has someone a good and reasonable approach on?

bye

thx
