I second the idea to have readers contact NBC regarding the Olympics.  We seem to go through this every four years, and it is so frustrating.  Particularly in (track and) field events, it has been common to have the USA commentator telling us how so-and-so pole vaulted, or long jumped, or whatever, xx feet and yy inches, when the electronic scoreboard on the field shown in the background clearly shows meters.  I don't know how to get through to the broadcasters; I have been sending them letters for years now to no avail.   HARRY WYETH
